Annual Award · Supporting Serving Members

The Jason Patrick Warren Memorial Fund.

Established in honour of Corporal Jason Patrick Warren, the Fund provides financial support to serving Canadian Armed Forces members affiliated with The Black Watch during times when assistance can restore balance and strengthen their ability to serve.

Remembering Jason

A soldier remembered through service to others.

Corporal Jason Patrick Warren was killed in action near Kandahar, Afghanistan, on 22 July 2006. His service, character and spirit remain part of the Regiment.

Created in his memory, the Fund provides practical assistance to serving members managing difficult personal circumstances while continuing to demonstrate dedication to the Regiment and Canada. Recipients may choose to remain anonymous.

Always remembered never forgotten.

Who the Fund is designed to support.

The award supports serving CAF members affiliated with The Black Watch who are facing a challenging personal situation where financial assistance would help and enable continued service.

The applicant must be a serving Canadian Armed Forces member affiliated with The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada.

Challenging personal circumstances

The member must be facing a personal situation where financial assistance would provide meaningful help and support continued service.

Examples of potential need

Paying for school tuition
Starting or sustaining a personal business
Birth of a child, divorce or family transition
Job loss
Non-service health issues
Unexpected major life costs
